Project

AGADE Traffic is an agent based tool for traffic simulation. Main objective of this project is to provide a tool that allows traffic planners to analyse behavioural structures in road traffic. The simulator can be used for examining the effects of possible measures on individuals and their travel behaviour. The model assumes that personal preferences and decisions made by individual travellers have major impact on overall traffic flow. For this reason, AGADE Traffic provides innovative options for modelling dynamic decision-making processes. The modelling component uses semantic technologies (OWL and SWRL) to express traveller behaviour. The simulator is open-source and written in Java. It uses the JADEX framework for implementing intelligent software agents. For representation of geographic network infrastucture, publicly available map data from OpenStreetMap is stored in a graph database (Neo4J). AGADE Traffic simulation uses state of the art technology to enable best possible user experience. Have a look at the web frontend of AGADE Traffic and for more information have a read at our publications.

Demo

For demonstration purposes a reduced online version of the AGADE Traffic frontend has been prepared. It is possible to view input and reporting options, as well as to import and visually display prepared example scenarios from the Download section. Get your first impression and try the AGADE Traffic online demo.
